The Building Project

Building began in 1998, and the first unit to be opened was the training centre.

The aim was to train caregivers for work in the Hospice and the community. This was followed in 2003 with 4 wards to accommodate 22 inpatients, an outpatients department and an administration block. In 2004, another ward for 10 patients was opened.

In 2009, due to the generosity of friends of the Hospice Chaplain, Fr. Wildi, a Chapel was built, and in 2010 a canteen and large kitchen were built, funded by Irish aid and English Martyr’s Parish, Goring, UK, to service the training centre, patients and staff.
